Road Improvements in Annapolis County

first_img An eight-kilometre section of road in Annapolis County will soonprovide a smoother ride for Nova Scotia drivers. The section of Trunk 10, from the Lunenburg County line northerlyto Ridge Road, is receiving a $1.1 million repaving job. “This project is a continuation of upgrades to Trunk 10 betweenBridgewater and Middleton,” said Ron Russell, Minister ofTransportation and Public Works. “We’re pleased to be able tocontinue this project and work towards our commitment of betterroads in Nova Scotia.” The project was awarded to Dexter Construction Co. Ltd. The workhas started and will be complete by the end of October. The Department of Transportation and Public Works’ highwaysdivision manages more than 23,000 kilometres of roads in NovaScotia. It maintains an inventory of 3,800 bridges and operatesseven provincial ferries. Staff provide services from districtoffices located in Bridgewater, Bedford, Truro and Sydney.
